I understand the importance of MaddaM in Recife as a collective that truly promotes the inclusion of women, trans people, and young people from the outskirts of the city in the music market. MaddaM was a school for me that allowed me access to knowledge and practice with the equipment. And it wasn't just about teaching me, but about giving me opportunities… opportunities to play, to show my talent, to grow and project myself as an artist. MaddaM is about opening doors to the future… and today I am the future of MaddaM!

The girls who make up MaddaM bring the girls closer, give them access to equipment, teach them about technical aspects, the history of electronic music, the formation of a sonic identity, helping us find our identity in music... it was very enriching and important for me back at the beginning of my journey.

I understand that you (from MaddaM) do a great job building the foundation!! Which is super important, because without a foundation no one can grow and you created this ground where the girls can support each other, walk and grow.

When MaddaM is involved in projects or festivals, you can be sure that female or LGBTQIA+ artists will perform! They truly do inclusive and necessary curation to open doors.
